IN YOUR HANDS
DIALOGUE EDITOR
Working on the sound for this film was probably one of the most difficult but, in hindsight, rewarding edits I worked on during the course. There was a lot to be fixed in the production sound, and the edit helped me hone techniques for how to solve them. Using tight and intricate edits along with using sound effects such as a car pass by the hide issues. I also learned how to build the atmosphere track from more than just stereo drones. Using spot effects to build the background not only created interest but grounded it in reality. I developed techniques in layering the character’s moves to give them more weight and power, particularly in the scene on the couch.
